A Message from Principal Romero

 

Dear Parents, Students, and Community:

It is with great pleasure that I welcome everyone back to a new and exciting school year. I am very excited and enthusiastic about returning to Mike “Mateo” Sena Elementary. In short, it’s great to be back!

As the principal, I will do my best to make decisions based on what is best for children and to be a true advocate for every child. I have always been very proud of our students and our programs. I believe that a quality education can be achieved though high expectations of student performance and behavior; strong family/school/community partnerships; and a dedicated, enthusiastic staff committed to providing the best education possible for the students at Mike “Mateo” Sena Elementary.

The entire staff at MMSE will work hard to provide a safe, positive, caring and creative atmosphere in which children will learn and grow. In addition, we will encourage positive self –esteem and confidence by building on each child’s strengths and interests. Through the combined efforts of home and school, we will make this the best school year ever!

My name is Cassandra Crespin, and I am the 4th and 5th grade teacher at Mike “Mateo” Sena Elementary. I have been teaching for 11 years, all of which have been in Sapello. I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Bilingual Education from New Mexico Highlands University in 2000. I love teaching in Sapello because the students, the setting, and the staff are like no other! I feel so blessed to be a part of the best school ever!
